This summer is not going as planned.
My world was ripped apart on May 5 when I lost the love of my life to cardiac arrest. He and I were supposed to grow old together.
Cherish those you love and care about, because tomorrow is never promised.
My posts will be sporadic I’m sure for awhile until I get through his Celebration of Life and all the other things that need to be tended to.
Stay healthy, and stay safe.

As a co-contributor to this gardening blog site I am deeply saddened and shocked to hear of your sudden and tragic loss…deepest condolences to you and your family…the title of your most recent column “So Many Projects, So Little Time” was almost prophetic but we had now idea that “So Little Time” would slam home so suddenly…deeply and truly sorry…here in support…HUGS…JLS

May you find some peace and renewal in your garden come this spring. So sorry for your loss, especially in these troubled times when those who might have given more support had to maintain isolation.
Thank you for your kind words Carolee. The summer was a hard one, but also productive. I needed something to do so built a deck with a little help from family and friends. It took me two months but it’s done. When the weather warms again in the spring I’ll be able to enjoy it and the other changes I have been making to the yard. Each day is a step forward. 🙂
